SUPPORT FOR GROWING MINDS AND HEARTS
Compassionate Preteen and Children’s Counseling
What You’ll Get from Children’s Counseling
Children experience big emotions, just like adults—but they often lack the tools to express or process what they’re going through. At Roberts Counseling, we provide a safe, nurturing space where kids and preteens can explore their feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and feel understood.
A Safe, Welcoming Environment
Kids need to feel safe before they can open up. Our therapists specialize in creating calm, supportive spaces where children feel heard, seen, and valued.
Improved Behavior at Home and School
By getting to the root of emotional or behavioral challenges, we help kids build the confidence and self-awareness to make positive changes.
Age-Appropriate Techniques
Through play therapy, storytelling, art, and conversation, we tailor sessions to each child’s age and developmental stage.
Emotional Regulation Tools
We help children learn how to manage their emotions in healthy ways—teaching skills they can use both now and throughout life.
Parent and Family Support
You won’t be left out of the process. We partner with parents to provide updates, insights, and tools you can use to support your child outside of therapy.

» Counseling for Emotional Challenges
If your child is struggling with sadness, anxiety, anger, or mood swings, therapy can help them process their feelings in a safe space. Our counselors work gently and supportively to build emotional awareness and coping strategies.
» Help with Behavior and Transitions
Major changes like divorce, moving, or school issues can trigger emotional or behavioral responses. We help children navigate these transitions while building trust, structure, and a greater sense of stability.
» Support for Trauma and Grief
Loss and trauma can be overwhelming, especially for young minds. Our trained counselors provide gentle, trauma-informed care that supports healing while honoring your child’s experience and pace.
HOW IT WORKS
We Help Children Overcome Their Struggles and Challenges So They Can Grow With Confidence, Mental Strength, and Emotional Regulation.
We believe that every child deserves a therapist who listens without judgment, meets them on their level, and builds trust over time. Our therapists are trained in trauma-informed and child-centered approaches that honor each child’s unique personality and pace.
